First For Women Funeral Insurance

First For Women has partnered with 1Life to bring Funeral Cover to you for funeral expenses in the event of your death as the insured, or in the event of the death of your spouse or life partner and children. First For Women Funeral Insurance also covers death as a direct result of HIV/AIDS-related illnesses.

First For Women Funeral Policy

• Monthly cover for death from natural causes
• Monthly cover for death as a result of an accident
• Repatriation services are also included

FFW Natural and Accidental Death Benefits

• FFW Individual Cover – cover for the main member
• FFW Family Cover – cover for the main member and spouse, plus from one to five dependants up to the age of 21
• FFW also offers cover for children up to the age of 25 if they are registered, full-time students
• Extension cover is available for individual family members at an additional cost
• Death from HIV/Aids-related illnesses is covered
• Claims are settled in under 2 working days if all documentation is received
• There is a repatriation benefit – in the event of the insured’s death, the next of kin can determine the place of burial and the funeral home
• The mortal remains of the insured will be sent to a branch of the funeral home of choice closest to the place of burial
• This benefit only applies within the borders of South Africa
• Cover is for individuals between the ages of 18 and 65

First For Women Insurance Policy Exclusions

• Insurance cover will not be granted, and benefits will not be paid out in the event of the death of the insured as a result of suicide or attempted suicide within the first 24 months of the commencement date of the policy

It is the obligation of the insured to offer true and accurate information – in other words, full disclosure is essential for pay-outs. FFW Insurance Policies are collected by debit order every month.
